Carnival Cruise Line has announced that it is updating its loyalty program to offer a more valuable and more rewarding experience for its guests. The new era of Carnival loyalty – Carnival Rewards™ – launches on September 1, 2026.

For the time being, there is no impact to the existing VIFP Club® program, guest status, account, or how we will deliver our existing onboard experience. The preview of the changes is the start of a conversation about how Carnival Rewards will deliver guest benefits and recognition when it formally launches in September 2026. With that in mind, here’s some information to get our guests and travel advisor partners up to speed.

As you can see, the benefits start on day one, but only grow bigger as you collect stars and status.

Stars make the cruise shine

Status Qualifying Stars are the new way to get recognized for your loyalty to cruising Carnival — and pick up great perks.

How status works

There's a time to earn… then it's your turn! You'll collect Status Qualifying Stars as you buy, book and enjoy Carnival cruising during a two-year period. (That's the Status Qualifying Period.)

Then, the status you reach is yours to keep for the next two years (the Status Enjoyment Period). Plus, if you earn it early, you get to start enjoying it early, even before the enjoyment period begins!

And of course you can work on building towards your future status as you enjoy your benefits — your next Status Qualifying Period runs at the same time as your Status Enjoyment Period.
